I’ve been at youth camp most of the week teaching middle school girls and just before leaving, I learned of a family’s loss of their husband and father. Then, on day 2 of camp, my feed filled with news of another tragic death, leaving a husband and girls without their mom.
These events are so mixed for me. There is ache for their deep loss. There is anger at the enemy who wants to steal, kill and destroy. But there is also a knowing — that in their anguish, God will carry them.
Any kind of grief is excruciating work. It’s a daily going to God to exchange our despair for his sure hope. When your heart’s broken or life hits hard, here are 40 promises of God when you need hope.
God hears your cries.
Psalm 10:17 You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.
1 John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Yes indeed they are!! I have leaned on Him more than ever this last year and the end of last year. Last year in November I was told I have Breast Cancer and that I needed Surgery so I decided to wait till after the Holidays to have it. January 5th 2018 I had a large lump removed and discovered the Doctor didn’t get it all when I went for am MRI. The doctor said they have had good results with a Hormone blocker or I could have more surgery. I chose the hormone blocker. I had to go back in 6 months for another Breast MRI and Praise God I am Cancer free!! I know God healed me!
May the Almighty God perfect your healing through Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen and Amen.
