Scripture has lots to say about new beginnings and new plans. These 31 Bible verses for the New Year help us align our heart to God’s as we make plans, goals, hopes, and dreams.
I often stand at the threshold of a new year and wonder at the great unknowns it holds. Some very, very good and some very unexpected. I’m always grateful they aren’t unknown to God. He knows the way we take and he’s already there.
As I’ve lived out life after deep loss, a loss that fundamentally changed the story I wanted, I’ve learned more and more to let God hold the pen. To surrender my expectations and discern where he’s leading.
Even when life implodes with unexpected loss, God can reshape what shattered, bringing new purpose beyond anything we could imagine to see that life can be good again.
The new year brings fresh hope and new beginnings. In my own grief, I remember desperately wanting to look forward again and hold a new dream. These 31 New Year scriptures are both inspiration and direction as we lean into new hopes and dreams for the coming year.
