Lisa Appelo | Founder Hope in Grief
Hello, I’m Lisa.
I know what it is to face a devastating loss you never saw coming. I remember desperately wanting to know someone a few steps ahead in grief, who could tell me how to make my way through and that it wouldn’t always feel like this. I became a sudden widow navigating not only my grief but shepherding my seven children through theirs (ages 4, 6, 12, 14, 16, 17 and 19). I’m a best-selling author of two books (with my third book releasing next year). I’m also a speaker and ministry leader and love to minister in person with women. You can find Life Can Be Good Again: Putting Your World Back Together After It All Falls Apart wherever books are sold.
Our culture is not just grief naive. It’s grief uninformed.
Which leads us to feel isolated in our pain and alone on the journey of grief. And while no one can do the hard work of processing the layers of loss, you don’t have to walk this by yourself. There is a way through the hard emotions and tough questions of sorrow.
Hope in Grief encompasses all the ways we grieve, whether that’s child loss, miscarriage or infertility; the death of your spouse or sibling or parent; an unwanted divorce, the loss of someone still living, and chronic illness.
You are seen and your loss matters, friend. I’m honored to walk with you in hope.
Under the everlasting arms,
Lisa
