Lisa Appelo | Founder Hope in Grief
Welcome! I’m a published author and speaker inspiring women to cultivate faith in life’s storms. Ten years ago, I became a sudden widow and single mom to 7. I write at LisaAppelo.com and have published at Proverbs 31 Ministries, (in)courage, Risen Motherhood and more. My book Life Can Be Good Again: Putting Your World Back Together After It All Falls Apart releases April, 2022. I spent several years as a litigating attorney, but my days are now filled top to bottom with stewarding my children, writing, ministry, speaking and running enough to justify lots of dark chocolate. I’d love to connect on Instagram @lisaappelo.

She treasures every “normal” day as a gift, especially days that begin with coffee and end with the family cuddling on the couch. Erica loves fall weather, Hallmark movies and listening to others’ stories of resilience. Lori Apon
Lori’s greatest desire was to be a wife and mother. The Lord blessed her marriage with eight children in ten years, while the enemy made plans to “kill, steal, and destroy.” Trials came and tragedy struck through the suicide death of her beloved husband, leaving her a young widow raising fatherless children. Psalm 68:5, “I am a Defender of the widow and Father to the fatherless,” became the anchor promise that shaped their perspective in the midst of suffering. God has faithfully proved that He comes to give “life abundant.”
Lori now devotes her life to mentoring, discipling and ministering to women in their transition from wife to widow, encouraging them to put their trust in God. Perspective Ministries was founded out of her calling to meet the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of the widow and fatherless, equipping the church and community to do the same.
Monet Carpenter
Monet is married to her best friend Josh. Though wildly imperfect, she delights in being momma to Hudson and Eleanor. Her home in Prattville, Alabama is full of noise, crumbs and baskets of clean, but unfolded laundry. After pausing her nursing career, Monet and her husband moved from their childhood home of central Pennsylvania, 800 miles south for a new adventure. What was to be a new chapter as stay-at-home mom life for Monet quickly shifted to the unexpected when she received a call her husband was involved in a terrible five-car pileup on his way to work. She found herself back in a caregiver role—this time for her son, injured husband, and daughter on the way. Through hope-filled writing and speaking, Monet invites women to grow in wholeness despite brokenness through purposed grieving, purposed serving and purposed praying. Find Monet at https://livingandlovingwhole.com (get her free resource here) and @monet.carpenter.
