Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a great start. I’ve got my just-launched college boy home this weekend. I tried to give him some space after moving him into his new room at the college, but he took it and ran with it. :/ I’ve barely heard from him! He’s called a couple times — once when he needed me to transfer money from his savings into his checking and once when his car broke down. Well, I’m looking forward to feeding him and catching up.
My oldest son and his wife will also be in town and my oldest daughter was just here. I need a revolving door installed! It’s really fun to see my older kids engage with my two younger kids … taking them to the pumpkin patch or rooting them on at their football games. Hang in there moms of littles when it feels like you’re investing hours as a sibling referee. Stopping life to disciple and discipline will reap such great dividends just a few short years down the road.
For the weekend, I’ve made a Gratitude Print that’s free for subscribers as part of our 31 Days. The blog watermark isn’t on the printable version. It’s an 8 x 10 like the one below and you may need to trim it after printing.
I really like the truth on this print. Happiness flows from a grateful heart. What a great reminder of the benefits of intentionally looking to see what God is doing for us.
If you’d like to subscribe to receive these posts, I’d love to have you join us here. Thank you for reading along. If I haven’t said it yet, I really appreciate all of your feedback, comments and emails. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you Monday. 🙂

Thank you, Lisa!
I also have two grown and married sons, and two still at home.
It is fun to see them interact. Thank you for the reminder to hang in there.
I tend to get overwhelmed and a bit weary of the daily stuff.
Have a great weekend,
Jennifer
My college boy came home for a short visit too! We had a lovely dinner out last night and it was so fun to see my boys interact as bigger people (#2 is a senior and not quite an adult). #3 was at a UC football game with friends so we weren’t all together but it was still nice to chat with the boys as adults and not acting as referees to disputes. A sweet glimpse of what like with grown kids will be like.
Thank you for the printable. I love this quote and will definitely print it and display it. It’s timely for thanksgiving too!
Thank you so much for creating this print. I love it. This is one of my favorite quotes!!
You’re welcome!
