A few weeks ago, as I sat down to add on to my to-do list, I paused with my pen in hand. I looked down the list that was already way too long and realized that I really didn’t want my day governed by these tasks. Yes, they were important. Yes, I needed to run those errands and make those phone calls to manage our home and life well. But, I began to imagine a different kind of list. What I really wanted to govern my day was a to-BE list.
